Business Plan Preparation

Charter and Deposit Insurance authorities require a business plan which demonstrates that the bank can perform over the first seven years of its existence in a safe and sound manner and within restrictions unique to a new charter. This business plan must be realistic and achievable. In examinations subsequent to opening, regulators compare actual performance to the original business plan and will cite the bank for material deviations from plan.
